It’s generic but the first few words that came to mind were family, food, and friends. 🏡🍗🥰 These are all completely great (and true) but, as we gave this a little more thought we realized that for us it truly wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without gratitude. 💛🧡🤎 As a team, among other things, we stay ever-so thankful for our health, happiness, blessings and business. A common misconception with the MN and WI real estate markets is that fall/winter is a “bad” time to start the home search. In reality, it’s a SMART time to start. Here are a few reasons we think why:

Competition with other buyers is less.
You have a better opportunity for us to find you an off-market listing. During the fall/winter our clientele ramps up as we get calls from new sellers who need us to help get their properties ready for spring thus, we build our off-market listing inventory. Historically about 1/3 of our closed transactions go under contract before they hit the public market.
Since the market slows a bit this time of year, there may be room for more negotiation.
Mortgage, title, inspection and moving, companies are less busy which gives them more time to focus on YOU. You may be able to expedite the mechanics of completing your transaction quicker making the possibility of a shorter closing date more feasible if you wish.
You can take your time. Since days on market for properties gets a little longer during these months you may not have to make decisions as quickly. Furthermore, this is a fantastic opportunity to use the cooler months as your information gathering period. We can help you start touring homes so you can see in person how far your dollar goes. If you don’t happen to find “the one” you still have the information you collected and will have an edge on the early spring market since you’ll be able to move as soon as the perfect property does come up. You will be one step ahead of the buyers who are just getting started in the spring.
We want to help you find that unicorn home! We’re not pressure people, we’re relationship people. We understand that this process takes time and that in many cases you don’t have to move. However, we do have a pretty solid track record where we’ve been able to line up dates and moves for our clients that makes it all worth it.
