I am so happy for these buyers! These clients have relocated to this area & I am so glad they are going to call this place home! I had not previously met these buyers before but they were referred to me & I loved getting to know them through this process. They sold their first home recently & I am glad this house will hopefully be theirs for the next decade. And I am excited to watch their careers blossom while they are here! And see how they grow over the next decade. I can't wait to see the memories you make here. Congratulations you two!!!

Realtor Safety Month is September. What better way to help then give out tips. Today is taught a class locally & forgot to leave this little nugget for them. So I decided to share it here with you all. Don't be a pop tart agent (Thank you Alyssa & Katy for this term). Due some research on a lead you do not know before you jump to go meet them. Get a pre-approval OR if they are cash get proof of funds. Then if they are not serious - you saved your time. If they had cruel intentions - they most likely change their mind because your doing too much. Also - talk to your lenders. Do your research on their names, emails, phone numbers. Have a buddy system or tell someone where you are & who you are with. Don't forget to get their ID's ahead of time too. You can do that - if you do that for every single unknown or cold lead to you. Consistency is key! Stay safe out there y'all.

WOW. Feeling blessed is an understatement! I have been lucky enough to help 6 buyers & sellers to get their properties under contract this month!! This has been the biggest milestone for me yet, in the biggest year I have been so very blessed to have. Yall I won’t lie when I say some transactions go smooth and some don’t. This one went smooth until the very last week. Literally, so smooth until the very end. In fact this picture was taken when it was supposed to be a few days before closing. But sometimes lenders through curveballs. These poor folks had everything set up to be done and then go on vacation and move to their next chapter. Luckily after a lot of back and forth with me and Valerie we got it closed. It took an extra week, while they were supposed to be enjoying their vacation. Sometimes lenders know they can have extra time and don’t think about the consequences to their clients or others involved. So they don’t feel a sense of urgency that the rest of us do. Especially when plans are made to move, you make arrangements with work or utilities or moving arrangements have to be changed. But after putting some pressure on them, they finally got it together. And it finally closed. And I know it was bittersweet for them to leave the place they called home for so many years and where they raised their kids. But now they get to move somewhere new for new opportunities and the chance to be around family. Congratulations Evjen family, even though it’s a few days late.
