Before you arrive, make sure you have a parking plan! The Colonial Williamsburg Visitor Center is the most convenient place to park, but spaces fill quickly. Additional parking will be available at William & Mary’s Zable Stadium and William & Mary’s Law School, both just a short walk from the Historic Area.

Need a ride? Complimentary WATA Route 15: Colonial buses will run throughout the day, making it easy to get around and enjoy all the festivities.

Colonial Parkway opens temporarily during Summer.

🎶 “On the road again, I just can’t wait to get on the road again…” 🎶

Good news for summer travelers: from June 10 through July 6, 2026, the section of the Colonial Parkway between Ballard Street and Penniman Road (Rt. 199) will temporarily reopen as construction pauses to accommodate increased visitation during this summer’s Signature 250th events, including the Sail Yorktown Festival and Independence Day celebrations.

After the festivities conclude, this section will close again so rehabilitation work can resume and stay on track for completion in late fall 2026.
