Sometimes clients become friends. 🤍

At closing today, these two gave me the sweetest card and thanked me over and over again for being patient with them throughout this process. And that word patient really stuck with me.

Because to me, patience is part of the job.

Buying a home is a HUGE deal. There are questions, nerves, unexpected problems, waiting, excitement, frustration, and about a million emotions in between. My job isn’t just to write an offer and get you to the closing table. It’s to listen to you. To answer the phone. To explain it again if you need me to. To sit in the uncertainty with you. To advocate for you. And to keep showing up until we get to hold that SOLD sign together. 🥹🔑

I think that’s one of the reasons I love this business so much. I get to meet people as clients and, sometimes, walk away with people I genuinely hope are part of my life for a very long time.

Congratulations, you two. ❤️ Thank you for trusting me, for appreciating me, and for reminding me exactly why I chose to do this.

Plot twist: before I was dramatically explaining real estate terms on the internet… I was dramatically performing on an actual stage. 🎭😂

Yes, I used to do musical theater.

Which honestly explains an uncomfortable amount about my current career.

Bumping to Not Afraid had me realizing how much of this song is basically me talking to my clients. 👀

Buying or selling a house can be stressful, chaotic, exciting, frustrating…all of it. And apparently my approach is just: whatever the weather, cold or warm, we’re figuring this out together. 😂🏡

Maybe Eminem was in real estate and we just didn’t know it.

But what does that actually mean?

For this week’s Real Estate Term Tuesday, we’re breaking down UNDERWRITING… the part of the mortgage process where the lender takes a closer look at your finances and loan to make sure everything checks out before giving final approval.

Basically… this is NOT the time to finance a new car, open a new credit card, or make any other big financial moves. 😂

The home-buying process comes with a whole new vocabulary, but you don’t have to figure it out alone. 🤍
