In the initial consultation with my buyer-clients I make it a priority to ask this question:

"How satisfied are you with your mortgage lender?"

followed by

"Do I have your permission to contact your lender and introduce myself as the realtor representing you in this transaction?"

If yes, I then make an intro call to my client's lender to introduce myself to protect and always act in the best interest of my buyer-client. I establish rapport right away with their lender providing him/her with my contact information so that we can communicate each step of the way.

Here's why: The mortgage lender is one of the most integral factors of a real estate transaction and have the propensity to steer the transaction in any direction; whether forward, backward, or even bring it to a halt. We MUST work together! We must communicate! We must see to it that our buyer-clients are satisficed with our service.

A real realtor is an involved one!
