The rumors are true... Being a homeowner isn't always rainbow and butterflies BUT the pros will always outweigh the cons.
However, my job is to keep you informed so let's get into it.
There are a few homeowner expenses that you never would have to pay as a renter:
-Property Taxes-
Ah, the dreaded taxes that you have to pay on your property every year... Expect to pay 2-8k every year depending on your home's value.
-Homeowner's Insurance-
There's no getting out of this one if you are financing your home!
-Maintenance & Repairs- Unfortunately, you won't be able to call the front desk of your apartment complex to come fix your dishwasher anymore. This one's coming out of your pocket!
-HOA fees: This will only be applicable if you live in a homeowner's association, but the fee's usually come with upgrades such as amenities to use!
Yes, the expenses can be a buzzkill but just remember buying a home is an investment!
