Notification of Changes for Garbage Pickup: Placement of Can and Day of Service

Dear Resident,

Effective the first week of November, your garbage will be picked up by an automated side-loading truck on Tuesdays instead of Fridays. Some advantages of the automated side loader include improved safety (as no one needs to ride on the back of a moving vehicle) and increased efficiency.

To ensure the truck can empty your trash, your cart must be placed in a specific position. Please follow the placement instructions imprinted on the lid of your garbage can.
Friday, November 1st, will be the last Friday for garbage collection.
The next collection day for your address will be Tuesday, November 5, and each Tuesday thereafter.
Since the route may begin any time after midnight, please place your container out for collection on Monday night in accordance with the lid instructions.

We appreciate your assistance and look forward to a smooth transition.

Barnwell County has a lot of cool agricultural history. Blackville was known as the Watermelon Capital of the World and home of the midget watermelon.
