Us agents are REALLY good at showing you ONLY the good stuff. 🙃

The SOLD signs.
The happy closings.
The keys. 🔑
The multiple offers.
The “Congratulations!” posts.

But a great agent? They’re handling the tough, bad, HARD stuff nobody sees.

We make this job look easy. Maybe that’s why there’s an agent on every block. 😂

So let me share ONE WEEK of actual real estate:

🏠 A buyer backed out of a purchase where I represent the seller. The problem? My sellers are already under contract to BUY another house. So now we need this one back on the market and SOLD… ASAP. Time is of the essence.

😵‍💫 A property that has basically been sitting at the closing table, but things outside of our control KEEP coming up. My job? Keep my sellers informed, keep working every angle and keep everyone in the fight until we get it CLOSED.

💰 Homes that need contracts so my clients can finally cash out on investments they’ve worked hard for. Market. Follow up. Call. Negotiate. Repeat.

🔨 A repair needs to be completed by a licensed professional. I didn’t call one contractor. Or two. I called SEVEN. Yes, folks. SEVEN. Everyone is busy, nobody has time, and guess what? It still has to get done.

🥊 An appraisal came in LOW.

BOXING GLOVES ON.

Two days finding and analyzing the right comps. An inquiry to the city. Phone calls. Hours of digging and putting together the facts to support my client.

Appraisal adjusted. WE WIN. 🥊

⛈️ A roof was damaged in a storm and insurance already paid the seller. Now I need to figure out how to get my BUYER a new roof, keep the transaction together, work through the insurance/title side of it AND make sure everyone is protected and comfortable moving forward.

We’re almost there!!

Ope…is that WATER DRIPPING THROUGH THE CEILING?!

Cool. Cool. Cool.

No worries. I’ll handle it. 😂

📄 Closing tomorrow and seller documents didn’t make it to title in time.

Uh oh.

Timelines matter. A LOT.

YES?! PHEW. 😅

And that, my friends, is just ONE WEEK.

Real estate isn’t opening doors and posting pretty pictures.

It’s problem solving.
Negotiating.
Making uncomfortable phone calls.
Finding solutions when there doesn’t seem to be one.
Protecting your clients.
Knowing the contract.
Knowing who to call.
And sometimes refusing to take “that can’t be done” for an answer.

All while making sure your clients don’t have to carry the stress of everything happening behind the scenes.

But yeah…

It is SO easy, isn’t it? 😉🤣
