With cold weather upon us, we wanted to remind you about some things you can do to prevent cold-related emergencies from happening:

• Keep thermostats set to at least 65 degrees to keep pipes from freezing. If you plan to be away, have someone check on your home daily to make sure the heat is still on.
• If the temperature drops below 20 degrees, keep a faucet on at a trickle.
• Keep a cabinet door open under the kitchen and bathroom sinks so warm air can circulate.
• Please keep all windows closed in your mobile home.
• Use a door sweep if you feel like your entry door is drafty.
• Watch out for hidden patches of ice outdoors. Frost can also cause slippery surfaces.
• Be sure all entry/exit doors are fully closed behind you.
• Notify management immediately if you notice water running from a building or from behind your walls.
