Itโs so rewarding being on the Board of Directors for this organization! Join me in making a difference for the children in Parker and Palo Pinto County!
For National Foster Care Month, we asked our incredible staff: โWhat is one moment that reminded you why this work matters?โ ๐
โOne of my PMC kids, who is very challenging with behavior and difficult to place, told me she likes talking to me because I make her day better. Then she said, โI love you.โ These moments are why this work matters. So many children who have been hurt through no fault of their own find themselves feeling alone or with very small circles. Having a child who is often labeled as โdifficultโ show kindness, trust, and love is truly a treasure.
It means everything to know weโve built enough trust for her to believe someone genuinely wants her day to be better. I hope she feels precious and valuable through my words and actions. If she does, then I have succeeded.โ
This is the heart behind CASA. Showing up. Building trust. Being the constant. โจ
