Oh man, what a journey! The first time I met Ian, I was in a dingy office at a chemical company, waiting for him to work his technological magic on my laptop that was always trying its best to die. Now fast forward over 4 years, we're both no longer with that company, in a better place, married to the love of our lives, and now both HOMEOWNERS (LET'S GOOOOOOO!🥳🥳🥳).
I like to think I planted the seed of how great Delaware was these past few years so it was no surprise, the two would be hooked! 😜 At the beginning of the year, Ian and Daniela reached out about getting a house in DE. And we were off to the races with 3 tours scheduled a couple days later! 🏃♀️🏃♂️ After about 15 tours and within less than a month, we got the house they wanted under contract (and below asking price too 🤪)! This was welcome news as it was a long trek for them to make it down here during the weekends but they persevered!
Now, here we are, SETTLEMENT DAY! 💃💃The house is finally theirs and I'm so excited to have them in good ol' Delaware! The final walkthrough went smooth, the settlement quick, and the presents delighted them!🤩 Of course, being some of my favorite friends, I also have to treat them to that good good all-you-can-sushi deliciousness after closing too (no pics since we were all busy gorging on that amazing seafood/rice combo)! 😋🤤🍣🍣
I cannot express just how happy I am for them and for their puppies to finally come down (it's about time I met SusieBear and Linguini anyways ;)). I am so excited to schedule our next escape room double date, which will now be so much easier with them close by! I wish them nothing but happiness and hope to be back in that house in the near future for their housewarming. CHEERS!
