Love local film folks! Cultivating more local talent sounds like a solid plan for our community and economy!

Hollywood brought their lights and cameras to Wilmington. Now we’re taking action to keep them here! Through a new initiative, funded by the American Rescue Plan, we’re providing local talent the job training needed to kickstart their career in the entertainment industry. City Council will vote at its Nov. 3 meeting on awarding $400,000 to the newly formed Film Partnership of NC which will help build the skillset of the area workforce with an emphasis on women and minorities who are largely underrepresented in the industry.
