Buying a first home can feel overwhelming—mortgages, inspections, insurance, surveys, flood maps, and all the fine print.
I have walked that road as a father guiding his own son through a first home purchase. Now, I bring that same steady, fatherly advice to first-time buyers across Wilmington and the surrounding 50-mile radius.
I will patiently explain:
• How different mortgage options really work
• What inspections you truly need (home, systems, crawl space, roof, HVAC, etc.)
• How taxes, insurance, and flood mapping can affect your payment
• Where long-term equity growth is most likely in our coastal NC markets
First-time buyers don’t need pressure. They need clarity. That’s exactly what I would like to provide you.

After a lifetime of memories in one home, many seniors feel torn: stay put or move closer to the grandkids.
I understand that tension. As a senior himself on Medicare and Social Security, I work every day with clients who are ready for their next chapter—often in a one-level or lock-and-leave townhome in the Wilmington area, within easy driving distance to family.
I love helping seniors:
• Prepare their current home for sale
• Coordinate with trusted local downsizing pros, movers, attorneys, inspectors, and contractors
• Choose low-maintenance homes where they can travel with peace of mind, knowing the property is cared for
If it’s time to get closer to the people who matter most—especially the grandkids—I'm is ready to guide the process calmly, step by step.

Clients like this make my job so rewarding. Such a wonderful couple. Welcome to Wilmington!!

"Purchasing a home in a new state where you’ve never lived is no easy task — but Don made the entire experience remarkably smooth. When we began our search, we weren’t even sure what type of neighborhood would be the best fit. Don listened carefully to our wants and needs, then took the time to show us communities that aligned perfectly with our lifestyle, saving us countless hours. He even previewed homes for us when we couldn’t travel, offering honest insight into the pros and cons of each area. Don went above and beyond at every step of the process — even helping us remove old debris from our yard after we settled in. His knowledge of the Wilmington area is second to none, he’s incredibly responsive, and he seems to know a trusted professional for everything a new homeowner might need. We’re truly grateful for his support and couldn’t imagine going through this process without him. If you’re searching for a home in or around the Wilmington area, we recommend Don without hesitation. He is absolutely your go-to person!"

One thing that makes 7100 Kinsella Court stand apart: the lot. The rear yard backs up to a conservation area — no homes behind you, just natural buffer space.
It’s ideal for anyone who values peace, outdoor living, or simply not staring into a neighbor’s kitchen window. Hard to find, and even harder to replace.
