Some nights remind me why I never left.
Captured at Fort Fisher on a quiet evening, this is the Milky Way stretching across the Carolina sky. Most people spend their days looking down at their phones. Every once in a while, it’s worth looking up.
One of the things I love most about Southeastern North Carolina is that moments like this still exist. Just a short drive from home, you can find a quiet bench, the sound of the ocean, and a view that’s been here long before any of us.
These are the places I enjoy with my family, the communities I photograph, and the same communities I’m fortunate enough to help people call home.
