If you've noticed some changes lately, you're not imagining it. 😊

Many of you first met me through Coastal Home Solutions, where I helped families declutter, organize, downsize, and create more functional spaces. What started as a passion for helping people quickly became something much bigger.

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant for nearly 20 years, I've always been drawn to helping people maintain their independence and improve their quality of life. That passion eventually led me to launch Aging in Place NC, where I help older adults and their families create safer homes so they can continue living independently for as long as possible.

Over the last several months, God has opened yet another door.

I recently became a licensed insurance broker with North American Senior Benefits. The more families I worked with, the more I realized that preparing for the future isn't just about making a home safer. It's also about protecting the people we love and making sure families are prepared financially when life doesn't go according to plan.

To be honest, this season has been a lot!!

Building businesses, learning an entirely new industry, serving clients, supporting my family, and trying to follow where God is leading hasn't always been easy. There have been days when I've felt overwhelmed and wondered if I was taking on too much.

But every conversation with a caregiver, every home assessment, every family looking for guidance, and every client wanting to protect their loved ones reminds me why I'm doing this.

Today, my mission is simple:

📋 Help people prepare for the future before a crisis happens.

I don't claim to have all the answers, and I'm still learning every day. But I truly believe God is using my background, my experiences, and even my challenges to help serve others in a meaningful way.

A home doesn’t suddenly become unsafe… it happens little by little.

Here are a few early signs to pay attention to:

• Holding onto furniture when walking
• Avoiding stairs or certain rooms
• Feeling unsteady in the shower
• Needing more light to see clearly
• Small stumbles or “near falls.”

These are easy to brush off, but they’re often early warning signs.

The goal isn’t to make big changes overnight…
It’s to make simple, supportive ones before something happens.
