Some new Watsonart pieces have arrived at Flow Gallery in Palmetto Bluffs. If you are local to the Bluffton, SC area, stop in to see my newest layered paper paintings hanging in the gallery. I was thrilled to be there when these 2 ladies came in and decided to give new homes to these pieces. I hope they bring them joy for many years to come🩷 Thanks to Flow Gallery for their hospitality!

A new Bluebird Party has arrived at GalleryCitrine today. This piece is 6x24 on wood panel and is wired in the back for hanging. It’s a great size for those narrow walls in between windows and small spaces. This piece is comprised entirely of torn and cut handmade and marbled papers with their little wings escaping the edge.

This morning I dropped my pieces off at the Landfall Foundation Art Show for hanging. This is always a great show with a portion of the sales supporting the foundation, which supports local charities. It opens on Tuesday and only hangs for a few days so don’t delay! A new Blue for you today! We watched this majestic blue heron moving through the low tide waters at Mason Inlet recently. He allowed us to stay a safe 15 feet from him as he walked about while I snapped my photos of him and enjoyed the stillness and peace of the morning.
“Blue Looking at You” Layered paper painting using all handmade and marbled papers on 12x48 wood panel. He’ll be framed in a beautiful handmade cherry frame. I hope you like him!

For you today… a pair of cardinals. While so many birds arrive to our birdbath in small flocks, the cardinals always arrive in pairs ❤️❤️

I am excited to share that I am now displaying my art at Art in Bloom LLC gallery. I am honored to be part of this creative space alongside some of my favorite local artists! Stop by this beautiful gallery located in Mayfaire nearby Wrightsville Beach.

“A Poppy Patch” was inspired by my sister-in-law’s poppies growing in her beautiful gardens in Vermont. She is a beekeeper as well, hence the bees. This piece is made solely of handmade and marbled papers on 24x12 wood panel. The hardwood frame is collaged with various marbled papers that I either made or collected as an extension of the art. It’s a happy piece that brought me joy creating it!

Some little tufted titmice for you today! I am behind on posting as have had a busy couple of weeks.
Here’s “A Titmouse Party”, inspired by my backyard birdbath. This piece is comprised entirely of handmade and marbled papers on 6x24 wood panel and is framed in a beautiful handmade maple frame.

Poppies on a Tuscany Trail. I just completed this layered paper painting and it is heading to GalleryCitrine today. The frame is collaged as well as an extension of the art as I felt that the poppies didn’t want to be contained inside a frame. Now they have room to grow! This piece is made of all handmade and marbled papers. It is 8x26 including the frame and is ready to hang in your home!
