Looking to buy your first home in 2024? Here’s where you can start:

1. 💳Credit Score: If you currently have no idea where your credit score, you’ll want to find this out before moving forward. You can use Credit Karma as a start! Ideally you should have a good-excellent score with a good history (no missed payments)!

2. 🏦Mortgage Affordability: Essentially, how much house can you afford? There are a number of different things that can factor into a mortgage, but talking to the right people will help steer you in the right direction. Speaking with a lender can help determine your personal circumstance and what you can borrow for a loan.

3. 📑Prepare Documents: Lenders and Attorneys require an immense amount of documentation and proofs in order to qualify you and get you your first property. Being prepared with all of these will help the process move along a little smoother. Some of these may include IDs, proof of earnings, tax returns, and bank statements.
