🏡 IT’S HAPPENING! 🚧🌳

The Housing Foundation of Southeastern North Carolina is thrilled to that work has officially begun on Pierson Pointe!

Seeing the first stages of site clearing is an exciting milestone for a project that has been years in the making. What was once an empty piece of property will soon become a community of 48 quality, workforce townhomes designed to help hardworking members of our community — including teachers, first responders, and other local workforce families — achieve the dream of homeownership.

Pierson Pointe is more than just a housing development. It’s an investment in the future of Southeastern North Carolina and in the people who make our communities stronger every day.

There is still a lot of work ahead, but today we’re taking a moment to celebrate seeing dirt moving and progress being made! 🎉

Housing Foundation of Southeastern North Carolina Donates $8,182 to Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard

Wilmington, NC — 6/25/2025 — The Housing Foundation of Southeastern North Carolina proudly announces its recent donation of $8,182.00 to Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard, a Wilmington-based nonprofit dedicated to fighting food insecurity in the local community.

This contribution directly supports Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard’s mission to provide emergency food assistance to individuals and families facing hunger in the Wilmington area.

“We are proud to support Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard as they work tirelessly to ensure no one in our community goes hungry,” said Jody Wainio, Board President of the Housing Foundation of Southeastern North Carolina.

Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard serves thousands of people each year by providing emergency food to those in need.

"More and more families are coming to us for assistance," said Roxann Lansdowne, Executive Director and Chair of the Board of Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard. "This donation will help us to relieve hunger for the many families experiencing food insecurity."

The Housing Foundation of Southeastern North Carolina works to provide resources to create housing opportunities for a better quality of life in our community. A key part of that mission is the continued progress on the Pierson Pointe Townhome Project. This transformative development will provide homeownership opportunities for our workforce earning between 80% and 120% of the area median income (AMI).
