ISLAND DAY THIS SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 24TH IN KURE BEACH
The 8th Annual Island Day celebration is at Ocean Front Park and Atlantic Avenue in Kure Beach this Sunday, September 24th from 1-5 pm! Carl Newton’s Review will be rocking the stage throughout the day, along with a performance by Pleasure Island Dance and a Wake N Bake donut eating contest. Local businesses, churches, and non-profits will be hosting booths with activities including face painting, chair massages, pony rides on the beach from 2-4pm, a photo booth, live reptiles, corn hole, raffles, games, and a variety of other hands-on activities and educational opportunities. Bring a cooler with sandwiches and snacks, or grab a hot dog, chips, and soda from the Fire Department. Sit on your blankets, relax and enjoy the music, activities, and time with friends and neighbors. Everything is free. The weather looks beautiful. It is going to be a great day - we hope to see you there!
Island Day is brought to you by the Pleasure Island Chamber of Commerce, Carolina Beach Downtown Initiative, Town of Carolina Beach, and Town of Kure Beach. Many thanks to our sponsors: Duke Energy, Jersey Mike’s Subs, Harris Teeter, Sun Fun Rentals, Coca Cola, Greek Boys Fun Festival Foods, Food Lion, Snowie of the Carolinas, Soundwerks Concert Production, Wake N Bake Donuts, Ice Ice Baby CB, Nina Repeta, and Southern Sign Company.
