Buccini Pollin Group is saddened to learn of the passing of former Wilmington Mayor Mike Purzycki, whose vision, leadership, and dedication helped shape the City of Wilmington that we know today.

From his transformative work leading the Riverfront Development Corporation to his two terms serving as the 56th Mayor of Wilmington, Mayor Purzycki devoted decades of service to the growth and revitalization of our city. His passion for Wilmington was evident in every project and partnership that helped to create new opportunities for residents and businesses.

We are grateful for the opportunity to have worked alongside Mike over the years through many defining moments in Wilmington's growth. His shared optimism and belief in the future of Wilmington will leave a lasting impact on our community.

Our deepest condolences are with his family, friends, colleagues, and all of those whose lives he impacted.

Congratulations to Dave Early, Lead Engineer Commercial Maintenance Technician, on 21 years at BPG! His knowledge, dedication, and attention to detail have made a lasting impact on our properties and team over the years.

Q: What originally brought you to the company, and what made you decide it was the right opportunity?
A: I was part of the original engineering team for both Quaker Park and River Park. I transitioned to the company when BPG acquired both properties in 2005. I was eventually promoted to my current role of Lead Engineer.

Q: Is there a particular project, milestone, or accomplishment during your time here that you’re especially proud of?
A: In the fall of 2018, River Park undertook an ambitious rooftop unit replacement project, featuring 15 units ranging in size from 5-ton to 25-ton. I collected all the units’ data, gas piping, and regulator sizes, and developed a roof schedule of which units would be removed first, as well as a parking lot plan for the crane and tenant traffic rerouting. I also assisted in all of the low-voltage control wiring installation for the new thermostats. Working alongside the HVAC vendor at 4:30 AM start times we completed the entire project in two days.

We are proud to announce that Rob Buccini and Chris Buccini have been named 2026 CEO of the Year honorees!

Since 2021, the Delaware Business Times has honored Delaware’s top-ranking business leaders across both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors, recognizing executives who make a lasting impact in their organizations and communities. This year's honorees were chosen by an independent judging panel in what turned out to be the most competitive process in the award program’s history.

“The Large For-Profit CEO of the Year honorees are Chris and Rob Buccini of Buccini Pollin Group. Since co-founding BPG in 1993, the Buccini brothers have driven the transformation of downtown Wilmington. Under Rob and Chris Buccini’s vision, BPG has created the Market West district which includes 500 apartments and 200,000 square feet of leased commercial space across five city blocks. In recent years, BPG has expanded into residential management and sports platforms, the latter which hosts more than 10,000 events and draws 4 million visitors annually.”

Congratulations to Anita Neubauer, Investor Relations Vice President & Treasurer, on 21 years at BPG! Anita joined Buccini Pollin Group in 2005 and today serves as Vice President & Treasurer, overseeing commercial revenue operations including billing, accounts receivable, budgeting and forecasting, and lease administration. Since 2014, she has also served as a key liaison to BPG’s investor community, helping communicate company strategy and strengthen relationships through enhanced processes and the implementation of an investor portal.

Q: What originally brought you to the company in 2005, and what made you decide it was the right opportunity?
A: In 2005, I was working for a recruiting firm and visited BPG on a sales call. I was immediately drawn to everyone’s enthusiasm for the company and its projects, which inspired me to submit my resume the very next day. BPG was in a period of growth and team building, so I wasn’t hired into a defined role. This created an opportunity for me to work across different departments and develop a broad range of experience.

Q: What do you enjoy most about working in your role?
A: My role allows me to collaborate across departments, and I enjoy seeing how we come together to solve challenges—whether complex or small.
