One of the coolest parts of this business is watching the dogs work in real time. They’re trained to detect mold odor and communicate to us when they’ve found a source worth investigating further. It never gets old seeing them lock in during an inspection.

People are always shocked at how focused and driven they are while working — and then 2 minutes later they’re back to being goofy dogs again 😂

In this home, Odie alerted under the sink, but the mold wasn’t immediately visible. Using tools like a boroscope allows us to inspect inside hard-to-reach areas and help locate hidden growth more accurately.

Things that made our detection dog alert recently 🐶🔎

• Under the bathroom sink
• Inside a couch
• Under the kitchen sink
• A windowsill
• Inside a closet

These areas might seem random, but they all have one thing in common: they’re quiet, undisturbed spaces where moisture or fabric allows problems to hide.

Mold often grows in areas with hidden moisture, like under sinks. Bed bugs, on the other hand, love furniture, seams, and dark corners where they won’t be disturbed.
