BREAKING: New Hanover County Commissioners UNANIMOUSLY approved a resolution to OPPOSE offshore drilling along NC's coast. Huge thank you to all commissioners for putting commonsense and the needs of our communities FIRST. Kudos to Commissioner Elect Rob Zapple (a strong clean water advocate from Day ONE) for working tirelessly to convince his colleagues to agree to this resolution--took him TWO years--but he persisted.

Congratulations to Oceana, Surfrider Foundation Cape Fear Chapter, North Carolina Coastal Federation, Cape Fear Group of the Sierra Club, and Cape Fear River Watch for working tirelessly to educate our communities both in New Hanover and Brunswick Counties!!
