Things to do for new and current Wilson NC Residents!
One of the most popular spots is Vollis Simpson Whirligig Park, located in downtown Wilson. This unique park features large kinetic sculptures, green space, and hosts events like concerts, festivals, and community gatherings throughout the year.
Downtown Wilson continues to grow with local restaurants, breweries, and small businesses. It's a great place to explore, grab a meal, or enjoy events like First Fridays and seasonal markets.
Starting on April 14th 2026 the Wilson Warbirds will make their debut in the brand new beautiful stadium downtown. They will have weekend games that will have fireworks as well as events. It will be a really cool and new experience for the city of Wilson!
For outdoor activities, Lake Wilson offers walking trails, fishing, playgrounds, and open space for relaxing or staying active. Many residents enjoy spending time here with family or taking advantage of the scenic environment.
