Tonight we decided on a dinner hike to Phelps Lake, one of our favorite places, because it felt like it had been way too long.

On the way out, we pulled up a photo from the last time we did this hike together and realized something pretty incredible: it was exactly 8 years ago today!!

Same place. Same family. Same date. Eight years of life in between feels insane.

I had no idea it had been that long, and certainly didn’t plan to come back on the exact same day. Somehow, that makes it feel like more than a coincidence.
