Pots usually give little warning signs before the plant really starts struggling 🪴 What I look for first:
🤍 White crust can mean salt or hard water buildup
🦟 Fungus gnats usually mean the surface is staying too damp
🍄 Mushrooms often show organic matter breaking down
🌬️ White mold may mean the pot needs more airflow
🌵 Cracked soil usually needs a slower, deeper soak
I don’t water just because the top looks dry anymore. I always check a little deeper first, because the lower soil often tells the real story.
