For over 15 years, Melissa has worked in non-profit and arts management, and real estate in South Florida. Melissa is a Licensed Florida Real Estate Sales Associate and focuses on selling and buying homes in Broward County, Palm Beach and Miami Dade Counties. As the Co-owner / Manager of a vacation rental home, Melissa achieved great success welcoming visitors from all over the US to the vitality
of Fort Lauderdale. She oversaw all details including contracting, online marketing, state and local licensing, reservations, financials, and design. As the Director of Membership and Programming at Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center for many years, she enrolled hundreds of families into synagogue life through engagement. She continually nurtured relationships and listened to new ideas to serve the congregation of over 850 families, planning, budgeting and hosting hundreds of events per year. Prior to that, Melissa was the Programming Manager at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County from 2006-2009. She worked inadeptly on contracts with the General Counsel, on domestic and international artists contract negotiations. Melissa liaised with artist groups and Arsht Center departments (Legal, Finance, IT, Production, Marketing, Operations, Development and Box Office) to implement over 350 performances. Melissa is a South Florida native and has lived in Fort Lauderdale for over 12 years. In 2020, she was named Co-Chair of the Victoria Park Civic Association’s Membership Committee helping to welcome new residents to the area. Melissa has also been a youth soccer coach and is on the PTA of her children’s school. She graduated from Florida State University with a double-major BA in International Affairs and Religion (Cum Laude).
