Introducing 321 Hendricks Isle. This duplex takes full advantage of South Florida living. With floor to ceiling glazing in the front and back, the residents will enjoy ocean views as well as that famous Florida sunset. Passive shading systems typical of Florida vernacular design are a tip of the hat to those who have come before us.

Our favorite projects are not necessarily big, complex or expensive. Sometimes just making a space everything it can be is satisfaction enough. This home is an example of just that. It’s most fulfilling when our sponsors’ ideals and philosophy lines up with our own. The collective unconscious links up and the project just seems to flow. Located between the ocean and the intracoastal, this pad boasts of incredible 180 degree views. This was probably the only redeeming factor of this condo before it was completely remodeled. Beginning with a very inefficient and awkward floor plan and more ceiling height variations than we care to count, we knew space planning was going to be the real challenge. We started by revisiting the floor plan and identifying opportunities for better defined spaces and flow. The entire mechanical system was redesigned and replaced in order to get the ceiling heights to their maximum height. Motorized drapes and curtain tracks were hidden within coves and linear AC diffusers we’re used, all contributing to the perception of clean, unobstructed spaces. How do you think it worked out?

We’ve had a blast working on the design for the Porter Residence remodel/ expansion. This 60’s home is being given a much deserved overhaul while still listening to the original structure as a guide for design decisions. What are our thoughts?

Instead, our task is to listen to the site, climate, cultures, and personalities. This way we are able to make uncover the project that was meant to be there all along.
