For our family, hunting has never been just about the hunt. It’s a tradition that has been passed down through generations. It teaches us the importance of family, respect, patience, conservation, and being good stewards of the land.
Those same values are at the heart of our business today.

We’re proud to build a business rooted in the traditions our family has carried for seven generations of Texans, while helping preserve those traditions for the generations still to come. We believe in respecting the wildlife, caring for the land, and leaving it better than we found it.

What was once taught around a campfire and in the outdoors is now something we’re honored to carry forward through our family and our business.

At WellHouse Land and Compliance, we’re thankful to God for the blessing of raising our children, serving our community, and living in the greatest nation and the greatest state. We never take for granted the freedoms we enjoy or the sacrifices made by the brave men and women who have served and given their lives to protect them.

Our founder and CEO, Kate Sowell was honored to be part of the facility task force that helped create the 2025 bond package for the WISD. In her roles at WellHouse and Executive Director at Barnabas Connection and as a former teacher, she is able to represent many families and students who are underrepresented, being a voice for the community. Today that group was invited back to be part of the groundbreaking ceremony and it’s so exciting to see all the hard work and dedication of so many people come together! This will provide so many opportunities for generations of children to come!
