rk I sold real estate in Putnam County. When we moved to Virginia I got a job with a local distributor and moved up the ranks to Human Resource Manager. In 1995 I earned my CAP (Certified Administrative Professional) and in 2011 I earned the PHR (Professional in Human Resources) certification. We have 4 children—Drew, owner of Incredible Flying Objects, an awesome store in downtown Wi******er; Sandy, Sales Specialist with Rubbermaid Commercial Products; Allan, who lives in NY, and Anthony, Data Networking Tech. I have 4 grandsons, who are the lights of my life! Ask me about them sometime. Our family moved to Wi******er in 1989 after my husband’s job with IBM was eliminated during one of their restructurings. I have never regretted the move. I truly believe that Virginia is the best state in the Union and Wi******er the best little city in which to raise a family! I have been active in many community organizations over the years including, the Wi******er Host Lions Club (2016-2017 President); First Night Wi******er board; Rebekah's; the Parish Organization of Catholic Women at Sacred Heart Church; the Order Sons of Italy in America; the International Association of Administrative Professionals (having moved through the ranks to Division President), the Wi******er Area SHRM: JWHS Band Boosters and Kids Are Our Concern. Al and I are proud to have been volunteers for the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival as event directors of Weekend in the Park. We retired from the event in 2013 after 20 years of service to the Festival.
