If you are having a home built and your builder is including a passive radon reduction system, be sure they install it correctly! Builders commonly install their piping in areas that are not accessible and that cannot accommodate a fan if one is needed. This particular system will need to be capped and abandoned, and replaced by an entire new system. Be sure your contractor is educated in radon resistant new construction!
