It's time for our next Wi******er Police Citizen's Police Academy!!

The Academy consists of one 2-hour class held each Wednesday for 10 weeks from 6pm-8pm. This instruction is comprehensive, covering a different topic each week. WPD staff provide the participants with an in depth look into who we are and what we do. This program is designed to increase awareness and understanding of how policing is conducted while strengthening the relationship between community members and law enforcement.

We look forward to starting our next Citizens Police Academy class on January 18th, 2023 This class is completely FREE.

You can register for the upcoming class from December 1st until December 31st, 2022. Applications can be picked up and dropped off at the Wi******er Police Department. If you prefer email, we can do that too!!

Christmas is coming to Fort Boonesborough! Join us Friday, December 2, 6 p. m.-9 p.m. and Saturday, December 3, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. Follow the lantern lit pathway and visit cabins decorated from nature as early settlers would have had, featuring the gunsmith, candles, frontier foods display , and “Santa Across the Miles and Through the Years” display. Enjoy Christmas music, refreshments, bonfires and living historians. Gift shop will be open. ALL parking in the lot across from the pool on Hwy. 388 and FREE shuttle ride to the fort. Admission: Adults $8 and children 6-12 $5, 5 and under free. Presented by Fort Boonesborough Foundation.
