As a Realtor, I’ve walked alongside hundreds of families as they bought, sold, and said goodbye to homes they loved. I’ve helped people navigate the excitement, stress, and emotions of moving.
What I didn’t fully understand until now is what it feels like when it’s your turn.
As our family prepared to leave this home, I found myself noticing all the little things that never show up in a listing description. The doorway we took school start photos & holiday photos in front. The backyard baseball memories. The mornings with coffee on the porch during bus pick up. The ordinary moments that quietly became some of our favorite memories.
This house has been more than walls and a roof. It’s been the backdrop for birthday parties, holidays, school mornings, late-night conversations, and countless moments that helped shape our family.
As Realtors, we often talk about bedrooms, square footage, updates, and features. But what makes a house special is the life that’s lived inside it.
Selling this home has reminded me that every house has a story. This one has been ours.
Now it’s ready for its next chapter, and while we’re excited for what’s ahead, saying goodbye is harder than I expected.
To the family who calls this place home next, I hope you love it as much as we have.
