City of Groveland officials and staff worked with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and their contractors today to resolve traffic delays impacting Groveland residents due to FDOT's S.R. 19 Resurfacing Project's daytime schedule.

FDOT and contractors will now conduct work at nighttime between the hours of 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. starting tomorrow (Tuesday, May 7). This portion of the project includes new turn lanes being installed at Cherry Lake Road and Wynn Lane. Groveland Police Department will have increased law enforcement to ensure minimal complications.

From Tuesday, May 7, through Saturday, May 11, between 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., motorists should expect a nighttime northbound lane closure along S.R. 19 from S.R. 50 and moving north for paving operations. Flaggers will be present. Please slowly approach the construction zone, heed the direction of all signs and flaggers, and cautiously bypass the work zone when safe.
