🚨 BREAKING: Another farmer, this time in South Jersey near Hammonton, is gaining attention after reportedly turning down a massive offer to sell family farmland to developers. 🌽🚜
The proposal reportedly included millions of dollars and plans for new warehouses and commercial expansion, but the family chose to keep the land that has been farmed for generations across the Garden State.
One local farmer said:
“This land carried our family through droughts, floods, hard seasons, and good harvests. It was never just about money. It’s about protecting a way of life that still matters in New Jersey.” 🌾💚
As development continues spreading across parts of New Jersey, many residents say preserving productive farmland is becoming more important than ever. From blueberry farms and peach orchards to roadside produce stands and open fields, families across the state worry that farmland is disappearing faster every year.
For many farming families, the value of the land isn’t measured in dollars — it’s measured in history, sacrifice, tradition, and the legacy they hope to leave behind for future generations. 🇺🇸

Sharing the bright side of things:
After yesterday’s showing drama, I thought it only fair to share a 💡 thought that came to me and shifted my entire viewpoint of the situation.
While the seller was telling me that I could not walk through the house, she mentioned her BIG dog being inside. I realized later that if I had arrived at that house only minutes later, I unknowingly would have entered a house with a very large dog guarding it. 😱 This story could have had a much more dramatic ending.
Thank God for looking out for me and my clients; I arrived just in time to be turned away. I’d much rather waste time and gas than end up with a hospital visit… 😮‍💨🙏
This photo is a reminder to drink your water, friends! After all, we’re just highly emotional plants. 😉 🪴

I am not happy.
After $65 in my gas tank, I drove almost an hour to the first showing of the day. I arrived early and parked on the street in front of the house. I saw the sellers leaving and didn’t think anything of it, I hung back and opened my phone to update my buyers. Then I noticed the lady walking towards me.
“Are you here to see the house?”
“Yes, ma’am”
“No you’re not.
All showings are canceled for today.”
Well ok then. Great way to start the tour. I’m a respectful person and didn’t relay my irritation, but did tell her that her agent should have reached out to me before I drove an hour to get there WITH a confirmed showing she swore was canceled. She told me that it’s some kind of automated office line. (Um. Why do you not have your agent’s direct line?!) Regardless of her excuses (or the agent’s who has yet to respond to me), this isn’t cool. DO BETTER agents! Time is $ and so is gas. You wasted both of mine and I should bill you. 😒
