I can’t even believe I’m saying this… but we have less than 5 months until the end of 2026.

So if I wanted to be in a new home before the clock strikes midnight January 1st 2027… these are some of the first things I’d focus on to make that happen!

If you want to be in your new home in NC before New Year’s Eve, here’s the game plan:

1️⃣ Get pre-approved sooner than later, so you can act fast whenever you find the right home - and so you know truly what you can afford!

2️⃣ Think about your lifestyle, and desired lifestyle, and use that as a way to narrow your search and find the locations that make the most sense for you!

3️⃣ Work with a local Real Estate expert (hi 👋) who knows the market inside & out.

4️⃣ Think ahead - I always say… you can never start too early! If the thought has ever crossed your mind, it’s worth a conversation to see if we can put together a plan for when the time is right!

Making a move before the end of the year is totally doable… but only if you start sooner than later!

*** in case I missed someone in the comments… thank you all for responding. This was a fictitious situation where I was trying to prove to someone in another area of the country that land around here is precious but that the people here aren’t crazy. It was strictly hypothetical!

Yadkin Co folks - if a large piece of property were to be divided up into 10 to 15 acre tracts, would you be willing to pay $225-250k per tract? Don’t get excited! I don’t have this yet. I’m just doing some research for someone. Honest answers, please!
