I never post client photos from closings. I stick to property photos because I guess I feel like it’s their news to share?

But this one’s different. I’m not just a proud and excited Realtor… I’m also a happy aunt! My sweet niece just closed on her first home, and I am so very proud of her 💗.

I’m usually wrapped up in double checking numbers and explaining things at the closing table, but this time I told myself I HAD to get a photo. It may sound cheesy, but all I could think about was her sweet Nana in heaven and how proud she must be. 💕

Regardless, this one definitely had some challenges. If it were not for a hard-working co-broke, an out of the box thinking lender, and an accommodating attorney, I don’t know that we would’ve gotten to the finish line. The buyers and the sellers had to compromise for a win win (don’t even get me started on out of town appraisers). Thanks to everyone working together, we got there! It’s always sweet to get to that point, don’t get me wrong… but this one is special.

Real estate school taught me a LOT.

But some of the most important things I know about real estate? My buyers taught me those. ❤️

Especially my first-timers.

They taught me that what feels routine to me can feel HUGE to someone doing it for the first time. That sometimes the most important part of my job isn’t knowing the answer — it’s explaining it in a way that actually makes sense, calming the panic, asking the questions they don’t know to ask, and making sure they never feel silly for asking one.

Real estate school taught me how to sell houses.

My buyers taught me how to help people buy HOME. 🏡❤️
