About Our President | Tammy Watson

Through Tammy’s 28 years of real estate experience, she cultivated skills that make her a successful agent. Working through the financial crisis in 2008 committed her to the industry and emphasized her adaptiveness to her environment and dealing with adversity. Raising a family of four while simultaneously working in real estate in Atlanta illustrated to Tammy the importance of high character and developing relationships. Her ability to form strong connections with her clients has allowed her to attain more than $12 million in gross sales with an average of 45 homes sold per year. All of her success can be attributed to her immense amount of knowledge in real estate, impressive negotiation and communication skills, and her ability to consistently adapt to the ever-changing industry. Tammy’s tenacious work ethic and her commitment to her community enables her to perform tirelessly for her clients.

Tammy Watson was born in North Carolina, and at age 13 her mother relocated them to South Carolina where they watched over her grandmother and maintained the family farm. Growing up in this environment allowed her to acquire her diligent work ethic, through tending to tasks and responsibilities on the farm. She moved back to North Carolina to attend Winston-Salem University and be a part of the community she had left at a young age. Tammy is a woman of faith who transformed from working on a farm, driving a school bus part-time, to becoming a full-time successful real estate agent in the Triad area. Through struggling to buy her first home, Tammy was inspired to become a realtor to help others have a more seamless buyer/seller experience. She became the first African-American agent to bring an ERA franchise to Winston-Salem, where she owned Piedmont Realty, now called Wilkinson ERA, from 2005-2010 where she remained a broker-in-charge until 2018. She moved to Atlanta at the end of the year and started her own real estate firm called Diversity Driven Real Estate Group, who later partnered with Coldwell Banker. While in Atlanta, she juggled working part-time real estate in the area while also helping clients in the Triad; all while maintaining focus on her son’s basketball career. Once again, Tammy moved back to the community she loves. She is now passionate about helping people in the Triad area with their real estate needs, watching her son play basketball, and planning family gatherings while spending time with her grandkids and her dog, Ruby.
