The City Council voted on the FY26-27 budget during last night's meeting. The budget includes a 12.6 cent increase on ๐ฐ๐๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐
๐๐ฎ๐น๐๐ฒ๐ (not the reevaluation values used in the initially recommended budget) to support.
๐ก๏ธ Public Safety: 30 total COPs positions, expanded Behavioral Evaluation and Response Team coverage.
๐ณ Parks and Recreation Centers: restored hours for lakes and recreation centers in response to resident feedback.
โป๏ธ Solid Waste & Recycling: addresses increases in collection and recycling costs and maintaining reliable service.
๐๏ธ Infrastructure: supporting road maintenance, facilities, utility, and long-term infrastructure needs.
City Manager Davis said, "We understand that any tax increase is significant, and that's why we've worked to ensure every dollar is invested in services and infrastructure that directly benefit our community."
