Happy Showcase Saturday. This week I am featuring Maria who owns Velvetia.

Maria, is Colombian, a psychologists and a mother of 4. She came to the states in 2016 and started from scratch . As a psychologist working with kids has been her passion and this was the reason why she created Velvetia.

Velvetia is a source of different items an possibilities to celebrate big on a budget. They provided high quality service and products to give our costumers the necessary peace of mind that the event is going to be great.

As a mother is always her desire to spend the most precious time with her children, so as independent she has the possibility of doing what she really enjoys without leaving her kids aside and going further counting on them to develop the business. Velvetia is a family-owned and operated business.

To kick off my Saturday Showcase, it is my honor to feature my dear friend Janice, who owns Busy Bee Bakery.

I have used Janice to make all of our family’s birthday cakes after seeing and tasting how good her cakes were from other friends that used her.

Janice is a mom of 3 beautiful girls. She works full time but does this part time for fun. She started cake decorating 12 yrs ago because she wanted to make really awesome cakes for her kids birthdays. She had so much fun, she took extra classes at Joann’s to perfect her skills.

Last year after being furlowed, she decided to turn her hobby into a business to help supplement her income for her family.

She makes cupcakes and cakes of all sorts of events, birthdays, anniversaries, holidays and other special occasions.

I especially love how talented she is in her fondant molding work.

Janice was recognized in 2021 for her beautiful and creative cakes by being awarded 6th in the nation by World's Top Notch Cake Specialist from Amazing Cake Ideas.

ℕ𝕖𝕧𝕖𝕣 𝕤𝕥𝕠𝕡 𝕨𝕠𝕣𝕜𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕥𝕠𝕨𝕒𝕣𝕕𝕤 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕕𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕞𝕤.

We all want success but we all don’t put in the work for it.

3 things that can help you to start working towards your dreams today:

1️⃣ Figure our your 𝕎ℍ𝕐- If you don’t know your why, it’s easy to give up when it gets hard, when we don’t see the results as fast as we want to and not do the work it takes.

2️⃣ Make a ℙ𝕃𝔸ℕ- figure out what you have to do to achieve your dreams. Then, break it down to years, months, weeks and days. So you know each day I have to do this____ to achieve this___.

3️⃣ Then 𝕊ℍ𝔸ℝ𝔼 your goal with everyone. This maybe one of the most important ones.

So often we are afraid to tell people our goals because we are afraid of what they are going to say or think about us. I have been guilty of this one myself!!

The sooner we stop caring what others think and start focusing on what makes us happy, the sooner we will all 𝔸ℂℍ𝕀𝔼𝕍𝔼 our 𝔻ℝ𝔼𝔸𝕄𝕊!!
