And closing #2. Here's another out of state buyer, only I've NEVER met him besides on FaceTime. This purchase was contingent on the closing of his home in Connecticut which ended up falling apart literally the day before the first closing date set in June.
Here's where the importance of competence in agents on BOTH sides comes in. I had great rapport with the listing agent and we held this thing together until another offer came in on the Connecticut house and finally closed. Both parties are so excited and relieved. It feels so good to be a small part of that. Please see below his review. I mean ... it's not the first time I've heard this 🤷‍♀️

Closing #1 today. This was such a fun process with out of state clients that trusted me to help them navigate everything from contract to inspection to walk-through from afar. All they wanted was to be the "coolest grandparents around." Challenge accepted. I think they achieved their goal! What kid wouldn't want to go to Nana and Papa's with themed rooms, a pool, and best of all, less than 20 minutes to Magic Kingdom.
One of the biggest differences from Michigan that I found interesting when I started doing Real Estate full time here in Florida is the amount of clients I help that don't even see me until AFTER closing. These clients came once, we toured a LOT of homes over a couple days and I haven't seen them since. I'm looking forward to seeing them when they come down mid August and I'm glad this process was smooth and exciting for them.

When clients get exactly what they want, it makes me extremely happy. Especially when they’ve been renting and their adult children decide to both move back in from out of state 😂. Cramped is an understatement. Now they can spread out!

I’ve been working with these clients since I did my very first open house here in Florida. It’s taken them a year to be comfortable and take the leap. We’ve kept in touch just about weekly, they even send me pictures of their kids on occasion. They texted me when their dog died and most recently when her mom passed.
Real Estate is so much more than just selling homes. It’s being involved in almost every aspect of someone’s life for a period of time, helping them with one of their largest investments is just a small part of it.

🏠This one was so very fulfilling! I first spoke to my out of state, very nervous but excited buyer in January. She said she was getting ready to sell her childhood home in Tennessee that she inherited after her parents passed. It was an old, charming farmhouse that she obviously had a lot of emotional ties to.
She listed in March, and we talked just about every day during that first couple of weeks as she sent me pictures of her beloved farmhouse... I felt like I was a part of the process there too! Then she came down here and we met in person. She brought a friend and I swear it felt like I was hanging out with old pals who I had known forever. We ended up finding THE ONE at the end of March but had to wait until her farmhouse sold. It ended up selling quickly and THE ONE was still available! We snagged it for her for under list plus sellers gave her some repair credits.
All in all this was a pretty smooth deal. Add in a hard working agent on the other side and VOILA! A buyer crying happy tears who can't wait to get down here and start a new adventure. This is exactly why I do what I do!
