When a PSM signs and seals a survey, map, plat, legal description, or related document, the surveyor accepts professional responsibility for its accuracy, compliance, and proper preparation. PSMs are licensed and regulated by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services through the Florida Board of Professional Surveyors and Mappers.
