I was born and raised in Orlando. I didn’t really plan to stay. Then I realized how great I really had it living in Florida, and here we are.

🚘Avoid I4 during rush hour and always take the express lane even when you think traffic doesn’t look bad.

🏰 There is so much more to Orlando than Disney World. You can live here without feeling like you live in a tourist town.

🌊 Life here revolves around water. The beach, lakes, rivers, springs, pools... you better know how to swim.

🎭 There’s a lot of arts & culture and it’s not all flip-flips and tank tops. Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens in Winter Park is gorgeous and most people never even think to go.

🍣 Orlando has a really great food scene. Order the Maguro Truffle at Kabooki. Every single time.

If community is important to you, look beyond the popular areas for transplants and find the places locals have called home for years.

These are the small businesses that I love and send clients to all the time.

• Modest W**e in Winter Park. The only w**e shop worth going to. The Old World w**e & ch*****ne selection is second to none. Pro tip: sit at the bar to have a glass of champs w/Kyle and gain a little education while you’re there. Modest W**e | Winter Park

And of course good w**e needs GOOD cheese.

• Simply Cheese in Winter Park is 10 min down the street. But honestly worth the drive from anywhere in Orange or Seminole County. Pro tip: sign up for one of their classes and become a charcuterie pro for your next party. SIMPLY CHEESE.

• 4th & Ocean in Downtown Lake Mary. If you've never been, don’t sleep on it. The handful of boutiques in Downtown Lake Mary are great.

• The Antique Foundry in Altamonte Springs. When you need pieces for your home that tell a story and give your home more character than HomeGoods or Hobby Lobby ever could. The Antique Foundry

• Millie’s Swedish Candy in College Park. Swedish candy is all that it’s hyped up to be and Millie’s is the place to go. Pro tip: must get the BUBS & strawberries & cream twists. milliesswedishcandy

• Pistil Home and Garden in Downtown Windermere. If you’re not in your plant era you should be. It’s the cutest shop. Pistil Home & Garden

• Ligature Coffee in S**O. Coffee on tap, need I say more? They take specialty coffee to the next level.
