With the holiday season among us, don’t forget your home safety checklist✏️ From preventing home theft, taking precaution against home fires & tips on energy saving!
TIPS:
✔️Refrain from posting your traveling plans online. Posting specific details can be an indicator your home is empty!
✔️If you do plan to travel: inform a reliable neighbor, or friend to keep an eye on your home while you are away . Have them get your mail (or request your local USPS to hold your incoming mail during those dates), take your trash out, etc.
✔️Test your alarm systems, and smoke detectors before you leave!
✔️Unplug idle appliances like kitchen appliances, entertainment devices, even washers & dryers to help prevent potential fire hazards & save money on your electric bill💲💲
✔️Keep your tree hydrated & away from any heat sources that could potentially start a fire!
✔️Consider your decorations/ornaments/gifts & if they are in reach of small children or animals! My children (my two German Shepherds) will try to eat anything their snoot can find🎄
AAA reported over 107 million Americans will be traveling for the holidays this year. Whether you will be on the road, or cozy at home celebrating, have a happy and safe holiday season!🎉
