I have a lot of opinions about real estate.

Shocking, I know. 😂

But after years of walking through houses, writing offers, negotiating inspections, watching people buy their first home, sell it, move up, downsize and do it all over again… these are a few I’ll stand by.

Your first house does not need to be your dream house.

The “perfect” house in the wrong location usually isn’t perfect.

You will stop noticing the countertops. You will NOT stop noticing the 45-minute drive you hate every day.

And sometimes the best thing your Realtor can tell you is, “I don’t think you should buy this house.”

Buying a home is a big deal — but it doesn’t have to check every single box to be the right move for this season of your life.

Something has been on my mind lately…We’ve all spent so much time lately talking about what our homes are worth, where interest rates are going, and whether the market is going up or down.

So, from an empty nester, I think we could all use a little reminder of what a home is actually worth…

It’s the height marks you have never painted over…The backyard that held a swing set before it held patio furniture..: The kitchen table that saw homework, birthday cakes and family dinners.

And then one day, the house gets a little quieter.

Until your kids pull back into the driveway with kids of their own.

I’ve been selling real estate for 30 years, and I can tell you …markets will change. Home values will change. Interest rates will change.

But this?

This is the real meaning of having a home. ❤️

Growing up, I watched my mom build her real estate career and now I get to sit beside her at listing appointments, talking strategy, marketing, pricing, and all things real estate.

There’s something pretty special about getting to do this business together. Mother + Daughter, two generations of experience, and a whole lot of opinions 😂

Today’s listing appointment was a good reminder of how lucky I am that my business partner also happens to be my mom. 🏡❤️

Couldn’t let Mother’s Day pass without celebrating my momma ❤️

My best friend, business partner, and the person I talk to at least 6 times a day… and most of the time it’s not even about work 😂

The absolute best grandma in the world and truly my rock through motherhood. I honestly don’t know what I would do without you.

I am so lucky that I get to do life and business alongside you every single day.
