Baseboards and floors might look simple, but they can tell you a lot about a home. 👀
On a recent house inspection, I noticed a slight gap where the baseboard met the floor in one corner. Turned out to be early signs of foundation movement that the owners hadn't caught yet. Small details like uneven flooring, separating trim, or sloping transitions are exactly what a thorough home inspector looks for during a residential home inspection.
Here's what I check inside every home:
✔ Floors for slopes, soft spots, and uneven transitions
✔ Walls and ceilings for cracks or moisture stains
✔ Windows and doors for proper fit and operation
As a licensed home inspector, I also include thermal imaging at no extra cost to help spot hidden moisture behind those clean-looking walls.
