Feedback from prior clients like this makes it all a labor of love. We take pride in our projects regardless of the circumstances. This was one of our builds during Covid. It was a fire damage and they had issues with previous contractors getting the job moving and finished, and to say the least they had fatigue and trusted us to make it happen.
Hi, Rob & Dave:
I hope you are both well, and enjoying this great weather, after a long wait! It's been a while since you guys were here, but I thought I'd share some news that you might enjoy.
Betsy and I put our house on the market last week, kicking off our move to Northampton, MA later this spring. Barring diligent lawn-mowing and some other brush-ups, there wasn't much we needed to do to prepare.
Our agent held a showing for brokers last Thursday, and we held open houses on Saturday and Sunday. We had a train of people come through, many of them returning for a second look with friends, they were so impressed. One visitor commented to us that they were struck by the construction details and the quality of components and finishes. Others had similar things to say. Some asked who did the work and we happily referred them to you.
Coincidentally a writer for the Boston Globe Magazine series On the Block, visited on Saturday with plans to feature the house in the May 21 issue. He later emailed our broker to say that in seven years of producing the column, ours was the most beautiful house he has seen. High praise indeed!
Now for the other shoe: last night we accepted an offer for $150k over our asking price. As sad as we will be to leave here, that part at least was a very happy ending!
Thanks again for your part in the saga, and for the patience and fortitude required to achieve what you did amidst the turmoil of the pandemic. It's hard to overstate how proud we are of the result, and appreciative of your contributions.
Best regards,
Greg & Betsy C.
