While taking a little break from cleaning Evergreen Cabin for our next guests, I sat down on the front deck and got to enjoy this beautiful moment. It’s moments like these that remind me just how special this place really is.
Here at Bear Pen Creek Hideaways, protecting the natural beauty and wildlife around us is something very close to our hearts. That’s why we’re proud to have our property certified as a National Wildlife Federation Certified Wildlife Habitat.
We’ve been blessed with this little piece of eastern Kentucky, and we want to be good stewards of it. We do our part to provide food, water, shelter, and safe places for the wildlife to raise their young.
And one of our greatest joys is getting to share it with others.
When you stay at Evergreen Cabin, you’re not just booking a place to sleep. You’re getting an opportunity to slow down, sit on the deck with your morning coffee, listen to the birds, watch the squirrels playing in the trees, and maybe even catch a glimpse of one of our resident deer or raccoons.
Of course, wildlife doesn’t work on a schedule! We can’t promise a deer will wander by during your stay, but there’s a good chance you might see one. You’ll almost certainly have birds and squirrels keeping you company. I even spotted an Eastern chipmunk beside the cabin the other day!
This is the kind of experience we hope our guests take home with them. Not just memories of a beautiful cabin, but memories of quiet mornings, fresh mountain air, and those little moments in nature that make you forget about the busyness of everyday life.
