Connecticut has had Buyer Agency for close to 30 years, and 24 other states have it as well, although we were one of the first. This really affects those in the 26 states who haven’t had it in the past; now they are required to get it, and brokerage commissions can no longer be advertised on the MLS (multiple listing service).

You may be eligible to receive compensation if you (1) sold a home during the Eligible Date Range; (2) listed the home on a multiple listing service anywhere in the United States; and (3) paid a commission to a real estate agent or broker in connection with the sale of the home.
