A few weeks ago (sorry for the late post) I got to celebrate three of my most cherished friends — Kris, Kris, and Lori — with dinner and a movie for their 60th birthdays. (And yes, Kris J is celebrating her first anniversary of 60. 😄)
These women are the real deal. They love Jesus, they love their families fiercely, and they show up for the people in their lives with a loyalty that is rare and beautiful. They are a safe place to land — always.
We have walked some long roads together. Raising kids, homeschooling them, grieving losses, celebrating victories, and laughing our mascara clean off more times than I can count. We have held each other up through the hard seasons and cheered each other on through the good ones.
And now here we are — jumping hand in hand into this next chapter of grandkids, hot flashes, cheering on our adult kids as they get married, buy their first home, and become parents themselves. We have more time with our husbands, enjoy deeper wisdom, have stronger bonds, share tips on the best anti-wrinkle cream, and maybe battle a few chin hairs we didn't ask for. 😂
I am so thankful to the Lord for placing these iron-sharpens-iron women in my life. I am genuinely better because of them. May He continue to work in your lives, your marriages, and your hearts as He draws you ever closer to Him.
Happiest of birthdays, Kris, Kris, and Lori. 60 looks good on you. 🎉🙌❤️
