This is a recall that may hit home. Home Depot is recalling BBQ brushes that were made from 2015 - 2026. I believe we have one. Apparently, some people swallowed metal bristles and had to get them surgically removed. Ouch.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled grill brushes and contact Nexgrill for a full refund to be issued as a gift card. I came across this post on the Virginia Department of Emergency Management page. It's a good page to follow. I think that most of the suggestions are good. However, never pour hot water onto a frozen car windshield. The ice buildup outside is really thick this time. I've seen posts of people using their rototiller to break up the ice. Smart. A friend of mine (that claims he's over 300 lbs) was standing on the ice without breaking it. Our 1919 farmhouse doesn't have insulation in the walls. We need to slightly turn on the faucets upstairs to keep the pipes from freezing. Do you have other suggestions for winter?

After all these years, I finally got the tool box out and flipped the dryer door so that it matches the washer door. You can flip most dryer doors and many washer doors so that it's easier to transfer the laundry from one to the other.
