Carlsbad, Encinitas, Solana Beach
→ Coastal lifestyle, cooler temps, higher prices

If top schools are the priority:
Poway & Rancho Peñasquitos (Poway Unified — #2 in the county)
→ 25–30 minutes to the beach, elite schools, strong communities

Want the best of both worlds?
East Carlsbad or inland Encinitas
→ 15–20 minutes to the beach with A+ schools

Another big factor people forget: weather ☀️
• Coastal areas stay in the 60s–70s year-round
• Inland areas hit 85–95° in summer — but you get bigger homes and better value

My personal recommendations:
✔️ Best value + good schools: San Marcos (A-rated schools, fast-growing area)
